What ownership actually means
People hear "own a business" and picture doing everything: every task, every decision, every late night. That's not ownership. That's just labour with your name on the door.
Real ownership is narrower and better. It's making the calls that matter: what to build, who it's for, when to change course. It's keeping the upside when those calls are right. The rest, the execution, is work that can be done for you.
The way owners have always operated, in fact. They decided. Others built. The difference now is that "others" no longer means an expensive team you have to hire, manage, and make payroll for.
Ownership used to belong to a few. The mechanics that made it exclusive are gone. Now it belongs to you too.
